ABOUT US

Blessed with the honor and privilege of maintaining majestic farmland in the Shenandoah Valley, our co-founders Stacy and Chris invite you to experience how we work to regenerate the earth and ourselves.

Come spend time with us to see firsthand how healthy and happy our animals are to be living the way nature designed. Host your retreat, reunion or workshop on the farm. Connect with nature, take in food as medicine, develop your natural health and wellness practices.

We are proud to be a certified Fields of Gold member.

StacyRae Johnson and Christopher Stowers
CO-FOUNDERS

Chris and Stacy fell in love and joined forces in 2015. Together they aspire to provide a restful and restorative experience for visitors to the farm.

Chris, a Fort Defiance native raised on a farm, leads our land and animal management. As a Marine veteran, Chris found healing and a renewed version of himself on this land. He is determined to provide healing opportunities for others recovering from life’s challenges. Chris works double time to ensure we are healing the land and spoiling the animals, all while providing fresh and clean beef, pork, and poultry to our community.

StacyRae is an Integrative Nutritional Health Coach with a background in Yin Yoga and Reiki. She leads the vision and design for our experiences and landscapes, and she cultivates the nurturing energy that has attracted so many wonderful people into our movement.

Travis LaCombe
BUSINESS MANAGER

Travis was born and raised in South Louisiana. He is the proud daddy to two adult children.  As a young child Travis worked with his grandfather learning to build fences, drive tractors, and manage cattle.  When he wasn’t in school, Travis was hunting, fishing, and exploring his world.

Travis joined 1Tribe Farm in June of 2017, and his role as business manager revolves around the daily operations, logistics, and administration of the farm.  Previously, Travis served four years in the Marine Corps before serving the public as an EMT/Paramedic for fifteen years.  During that time, Travis also served as adjunct faculty at the local community college where he loved to share his knowledge and experience with future health care providers.

In his spare time Travis can be found admiring the outdoors, cooking up some Cajun cuisine, or rooting on the Tigers of LSU.

Rebekah LaCombe

Rebekah was born in WV where she developed a love of animals and a curiosity for all things nature. She spent 12 years working as a veterinary technician before joining the tribe in 2017.

Her passions include gardening, yoga, relaxing on the river and spending quality time with friends and family. One of her all time favorite activities is running her dogs at the farm for vermin control.

Rebekah has a variety of responsibilities on the farm. Everything from cutting grass and weeding flower beds to medical care of animals.
